The Discover Jesus Initiative is facilitated by Kavanah Media whose mission statement is: “Serving mission teams and organizations by building strategic partnerships and solving the complex challenges of digital engagement so that they can accomplish their great commission objectives.”

Building from this servant and missional heart, ultimately the identity of DJI is not in any one group but rather all of us working together.

VISION STATEMENT

To see the top 50 unreached nations in the world transformed as coalitions of believers, churches and organizations use digital tools to reach people with the Gospel, lead them to Christ and disciple them.

Mission Statement

We serve teams and field organizations with a Kingdom focus bringing benefits by relieving technical, marketing, and administrative burdens so they can focus on the Great Commission task.
We mobilize and facilitate coalitions of local Believers, churches, teams, and organizations to work together in partnership with a coordinated digital engagement strategy.
We provide systems, processes, tools and training to facilitate the digital engagement strategy of these coalitions.
We establish and manage business entities and online accounts and directly run advertising campaigns on behalf of these coalitions.
We measure and monitor results to provide data driven recommendations and provide reporting to coalitions, partners, and stakeholders.

Principles

Prayer – this is a spiritual work and everything we do through DJI is covered in prayer.
Phil 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Partnership – at the core of DJI is the recognition that our unity in fulfilling the Great Commission is of critical importance.
Jn 17:21 “May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me.”
Proclamation – everything we do through DJI is about proclaiming Jesus Christ to the nations.
Mk 16:15 Then He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.”
Purpose – each DJI coalition is built with a common focus of meeting with contacts to lead them to Christ and bring them into discipleship.

Power – we do not trust in technology or even coalitions but in God’s power because with Him all things are possible.
Mt 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Statement of Faith

The Discover Jesus Initiative partners with multiple evangelical churches and mission organizations including members from a variety of denominations. Our standard in faith and practice follows the Lausanne Covenant.
